We were recently invited to a blogger dinner introducing the newly opened Wyndham Grand Clearwater Hotel. Inside this beautiful hotel is Ocean Hai, a restaurant that boasts Asian fusion style dishes. Our friend and Chef de Cuisine, John Capponi, is the mind behind most of the unique features offered and we were lucky enough to taste so many awesome items he dreamed up!
Thanks to a partnership with Ocean Hai, we had the opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal in exchange for some social media love and this blog post. All opinions are our own.

The night began with some cocktails and lite bites around the pool. Accompanied by live music, it was the perfect setting to watch the sunset over the beach behind us. Once everyone arrived, we opted to sit at a communal table altogether…we are a rather social bunch, so it only made sense. It’s always good to have fellow bloggers to take flat lays and ensure ample photos are taken before eating. ff

We ordered up our cocktails (in THE coolest vessels we have ever seen at a restaurant) and began scouring the menu for something that caught our eye. Here’s where we faced our first problem. There were so many amazing sounding dishes on the menu, that we just could not decide. We therefore opted for more of a “share and taste” game plan to optimize the number of dishes we got to try 🙂

We finished off the night with an amazing dessert and rolled our way out of the restaurant feeling pleasantly full of some amazingly delicious dishes. We topped that off with a cup of espresso and we were all set!

All in all, the new Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach is a beautiful addition to the beach strip and we highly recommend stopping in to see Chef Capponi when you can. His presentation of food is impeccable and we look forward to trying out a few more dishes very soon. Cheers!
Cheers and we hope that you have a chance to make it to dinner on the beach!
