The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa just got a whole lot cooler and more tasty with the addition of The Rez Grill. We recently got invited to a special round table happy hour to celebrate their all NEW “Social Hour” menu. The new “Social Hour” menu (available Wednesday – Saturday from 3 p.m.- 6 p.m. at The Bar & Lounge) features delicious $7 bites, cocktails and wines by the glass.
We obviously started with cocktails. Ryan ordered the unique and color changing, Improved G&T. G&T stands for the classic cocktail, gin and tonic, but this drink was in no way a classic! It included gin, elderflower, tonic water, and b’lure ice, and when the drink was brought to the table, it changed color right before our eyes!
I opted for the When We Were Young, a house-made sangria with fresh fruit. As you can see from the photo, I opted for this cocktail because it brought me back to my childhood, enjoying Capri Suns after running around outside. This adult version was fruity and delicious. I highly recommend it! (Rumor has it, there is a white version of the sangria that’s a must try, so check that out too!)
Now onto the food. The chopped salad was an easy choice for us. It included radicchio, salami, provolone, garbanzo beans, and red wine vinaigrette. It was the perfect portion with that Italian flair, which both Ryan and I love!
The Benton’s Ham was probably our favorite of the night. This dish had house biscuits, cherry-pepper jam, and red eye aioli. It’s basically a deconstructed ham sandwich except it packed a punch of flavor with the sweet and spicy pepper jam. So good!
Not being HUGE seafood guys, I was nervous to try the peel and eat shrimp, but once I did, I was pleased. I liked the spice and with the squeeze of lime, it was just the right combo. Yum!
Even though we are not huge gamblers, Hard Rock has given us another delicious reason to head over to grab a bite and a drink. If you haven’t been yet, you should definitely drop by The Rez Grill for their all new Social Hour. Let us know what you try!
