One of our goals this summer was to get back to working out and eating well. We have been working hard to get to the gym even on our late nights at work, so when Getaway 5k & 10k reached out to us, we were ALL EARS! We are excited to partner up with this unique experience to help raise some funds for Feeding Tampa Bay. When you sign up for the race, you can make a donation to the local organization that helped support so many people here during the recent hurricane. The Getaway series is matching all donations which will support restocking the food banks across the bay area that were depleted during the storms.

We may not be avid racers, but this SUN FUN RUN is too fun to pass up! (If it wasn’t our close friend’s birthday this weekend, we’d be joining in on the running fun. But since we can’t make it, we are sending some friends to enjoy the fun for us!). We highly recommend you head over to St. Pete this Saturday for the big race day celebrations!
The entire race is family friendly with many options to choose from for participants. Theres a 10k, 5k, a one-mile walk and a family fun run made for the kid in us all! And after the race, there will be a big celebration with food, music, drinks, and fun for the whole family!

We have experienced some other races before (if you know us well, you know we LOVE a good scavenger hunt), but we have never seen such awesome swag! 10K finishers will receive a 1/4 zip up pullover sweatshirt (perfect for this week’s breezy weather). All other race participants will receive an event t-shirt. 10K and 5K finishers will receive a specially designed finisher’s medal.
