So if you follow our Instagram profile, then you know we have been ON THE MOVE recently. I mean, don’t get me wrong, we are ALWAYS super busy; that’s what keeps us going, but I feel like we blinked and August AND September came and went.
One part of August that I can clearly recall is the big 3-0 celebration we had for Ryan! We had a whole weekend of fun planned, including a 90s theme birthday bash, but today, we are excited to share the fun we had at Wyndham Grand Clearwater. Our buddy, Chef John Capponi, has done wonders at their restaurant, creating amazing combinations of flavors to experience. So when he invited us out to enjoy a night out on the town, we couldn’t pass it up.
Thanks to a partnership with Wyndham Grand Clearwater, we had the opportunity to a nice weekend away in exchange for some social media love and this blog post. All opinions are our own.
We arrived at the hotel on Sunday afternoon, with plenty of time to catch a few rays at the pool. We set up shop and ordered some refreshing cocktails and food from the pool bar, Dock’s Pool Bar & Grill. Our friends opted for the Baja Fish Tacos (which packed a punch of flavor) and Ahi Tuna Poke (which was very refreshing), while Ryan and I went for the Asian Chicken Salad but subbed our grilled chicken for blackened chicken (best decision ever!).
We spent a few hours catching some sun, then got ready in our room, which had amazing views of Clearwater Beach, before heading down the road to see a DJ perform at a nearby hotel.
The next day, we got up early and snagged breakfast at Ocean Hai, before hitting the pool for a few more hours of rest and relaxation. We enjoyed the majority of the day lounging under a huge umbrella on one of the outdoor beds available at the pool, and when we got hungry, we ordered a bit more food from Dock’s to satisfy our hunger.
After a long weekend of celebrating, we packed up the car and headed back across the bridge to Tampa. It was a great way to spend Ryan’s big birthday weekend and we are so glad we chose Wyndham Grand Clearwater to be a part of it!
