We have been to Council Oak a handful of times now and have yet to be disappointed. So, it was a no brainer when we received word that the team was rolling out a new menu for the summer and needed some foodie tasters, that we would stop by to check it all out. Check out the highlights of the great time we had.
One of the first things we experienced when we walked in were the new seasonal cocktails: Raspberry Lime Fresher, Bourbon Brulee, La Pear, El Zocalo Margarita, Twisted Western, Pillow Talk, Garden Party and a really unique Rose Mojito, which includes a rose infused ice cube. I gravitated towards the tequila at first, but once I saw that rose infused ice cube, I had to try it! The drink was refreshing and made for a really cool conversation starter!
As far as the food goes, my favorites were the crispy calamari, the grilled corn with lime and queso blanco and the NY strip steak. We enjoyed some bites while listening to live music playing in the lounge at Council Oak.
