Handpicked Pride Celebrations

It’s June, one of our favorite months of the year! For one, it’s summer and we love beaching and enjoying the weather here in Tampa, but also…It’s PRIDE MONTH! Read on to check out some great events going on this month to celebrate diversity and equality throughout Tampa Bay.

Take A Selfie at West Elm in Hyde Park Village:

Hyde Park Village has joined in on the Pride Celebrations here in Tampa Bay by providing the perfect backdrop to #FillYourHeartWithPride. Stop by West Elm to snap a pic with this colorful heart window display. It’s a great way to add some color to your feed and show your support for equality.

Rooftop Kickoff at Kimpton Hotel Zamora (Thursday, 6/22):

This Thursday, to kick off St. Pete Pride, stop by the Kimpton Hotel Zamora’s Castile Rooftop Bar located in beautiful St. Pete Beach. You will bask in panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico and the Intercoastal Waterway while enjoying live entertainment, Cabana Boy Cocktails and Spanish-influenced Topaz. The Hotel Zamora’s unique Castile Rooftop Bar offers the perfect combination of sweeping views of nature while maintaining an urban vibe, making this Pride Party an event like no other during the weekend.

Drag Show at Beach Bar Tampa (Friday, 6/23):

Beach Bar Tampa is joining in on the pride fun this week as well to help celebrate St. Pete Pride. Joined by Kaotica Divine, Adriana Sparkle, and The Lady Janet, Miss McGee will be entertaining pride audiences with a truly entertaining variety show! Make sure to grab a $3 rainbow shot or a $12 rainbow daiquiri with a souvenir goblet!

St. Pete Pride Parade (Saturday, 6/24):

The LGBT Pride Parade will be held Saturday, June 24, 2017 in St. Pete. The Saturday Party begins at 2pm, with the Parade kicking off at 6:30pm. Imagine 5,000 people swishing and sauntering along Downtown St. Pete’s Bayshore Drive in a dazzling array of sequins, beads, leathers and feathers to celebrate the power and beauty of diversity, with more than 200,000 people cheering them on. The 15th Annual St. Pete Pride Parade promises to continue to show the state all the beautiful colors of our diverse community, and be a fabulous opportunity for unbridled self-expression and love.

St. Pete Pride Festival (Sunday, 6/25):

The St. Pete Pride Festival will be held Sunday, June 25,2017 in St. Pete beginning at 9am and ending at 4pm. Expected to draw more than 50,000, The St Pete Pride Street Festival will again be the largest community event of the season as festival goers come together to make history while enjoying a day of live performances and entertainment, community booths, art and fantastic food in paradise. We ensure that there’s something for everyone, including you.

Enjoy a Pride Flight at 81Bay Brewing Co. (All week long):

It’s Pride Week and we’re celebrating in the taproom with a special PRIDE flight. From now until close on Sunday, $1 of each flight sold will go to St. Pete Pride, a 501(c)(3) organization with the purpose to promote unity among the LGBT community of Tampa Bay and throughout the State of Florida by way of cultural and educational programs and activities. The PRIDE flight consists of our delicious Boysenberry Thyme Berliner, Ramble on Raspberry Ale, Strawberry Mint Berliner and Hullabaloo Berliner (one 4oz pour of each).
