We never pass up a free meal, especially when it’s a sneak peak at the North Star Eatery menu that our friends at Anise are developing. Soon to be the darling Asian Fusion kiosk at The Hall on Franklin, North Star Eatery has a menu filled with influences from Vietnam and the Philippines.
We were invited by our friends, Kevin and Singh Hurt, owners of Anise Global Gastrobar, to sit down and try out some select items from their forthcoming menu debut.
It was truly a pleasure listening to childhood memories that inspired dishes and secret recipes that went into planning. It made the experience that much more enjoyable.

If you couldn’t tell by my face, I throughly enjoyed the beef soup and EVERYTHING else. Back in college, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Hong Kong and travel throughout Southeast Asia. The flavors in these dishes brought me back to the tastes and experiences I remember from then.

We are so looking forward to The Hall on Franklin opening in a big way! We are hoping its collection of curated eateries brings a vibrant energy to Tampa Heights and selfishly we just can’t wait to grab a delicious noodle soup from North Star Eatery!
