We are so excited for Goose Island Beer Company’s Migration Week happening this weekend in Tampa. All weekend long, events are happening throughout Tampa to highlight some of the brand’s best craft brews. By partnering with some great local spots, Migration Week is an opportunity to meet the brewers behind some of Goose Island’s best beers.

Last night, we attended a beer and cheese pairing in the private event room at Anise Global Gastrobar. The team at Goose Island chose 4 beers to highlight while the chefs at Anise paired them with 4 delicious cheeses.
In addition, and quite possibly our favorite part of a cheeseboard, the chefs also had an accompanying spread/dip/ topping for each cheese pairing. Our personal favorite was the Sofie from Goose Island with Gruyere cheese. It was a balance of fruity and nutty. Topping the cheese with the candied nuts made for the perfect bite!
Tonight, we are heading to Ybor City to attend a funky happy hour happening at Blind Tiger Cafe. “It’s a happy hour party you won’t want to miss. Join the Goose Island and the Blind Tiger crews for delicious beers, boogie to some dusty DJ throwbacks, and listen to live music from Mama’s Batch.” We are pumped to check this out, so stay tuned to our Instastory and Facebook to see all the fun!
And later this weekend, we are heading to Franklin Manor to check out their Goose Island Brunch event! “Sofie, our Belgian-style Farmhouse Ale is amazing on her own, but for those who like a little extra dash of Vitamin C to get them going in the AM… we’d like to introduce you to the SofieMosa. Come brunch with us at Franklin Manor for a special SofieMosa juice bar and Sofie brunch menu.” On Sunday, from 11-2pm, they are serving up their spin on the “Beer-mosa”. Seeing as the Sofie was my favorite from last night’s event, we are confident that our Sunday Funday will have quite the kickoff thanks to Franklin Manor!
