Hyatt Regency Staycation | Orlando

A Staycation in Orlando to see Sia perform was a great way to spend our weekend! Our friends at Hyatt Regency Orlando heard about the mischief we were looking to get into and offered to have us as their guests at the resort for the night of the big show at Amway Arena, so we packed our bags and hit the road!

Thanks to an invite from Hyatt Regency Orlando, we had the opportunity to enjoy their amenities in exchange for some social media love and a blog post. All opinions are my own.

After a short hour or so ride, we made it just in time for our appointment at the spa. Ryan and I each experienced the most relaxing way to begin a staycation….a quiet and fancy massage. We enjoyed the spa for a bit longer before heading to our rooms to get settled in for the day. Check out all of the great spa amenities here: Hyatt Regency Spa

Since we were only staying one night, we figured one standard room would suffice for us. Well, we were SO wrong! Hyatt Regency Orlando hooked us up! Our room was something out of a Real Housewives road trip! It had a living room, dining room, kitchen, guest bath and master suite. It was everything! After being amazed by our digs for the night, we changed up and headed to the pool to find our cabana. We got settled into the cabana and ordered up some lunch and drinks from Coconuts Poolside Bar & Grill. The obvious Top Shelf Margarita was our first choice followed by a grilled chicken sandwich and grilled chicken wrap-SO GOOD! Now, the weekend was kicking into high gear.

We enjoyed a few hours of sun around the pool, which comes complete with water slides, waterfalls, and lounge chairs, before heading in to get ready for our big night with Sia. Seeing Sia before at Coachella, we sort of knew what to expect, and being that the concert fell on Halloween weekend, it was only logical to pay homage to our favorite girl! Donning our Sia wigs and bows, we hopped in an Uber and immediately began drawing attention to ourselves (Can’t imagine why??).

From the minute we made it inside the arena, all eyes were on us. It was hilarious and confusing all at the same time. We were confused because we were at the Sia concert… in a Sia wig and bow. Is it really THAT crazy? Evidently….it was! The concert was great and we made a few stops throughout the rest of the night, but there are only so many hours I can wear a wig before I say, I’m Done! We gathered up our wigs and bows, called a car, and headed back to the hotel.

We woke up the next morning, ready to head back to Tampa, but not before grabbing a burger at Shake Shack in Orlando. Overall, the weekend was a big success, but we know another staycation over to Orlando is definitely needed. Just on our drive around the area we were in, we have a whole list of things we need to go back and explore there!
