It’s summertime here in Tampa Bay and we LOVE finding fun things to do outdoors. Luckily for us, Epicurean Hotel has us covered! The hotel has been hosting SPLASH Sundays for the past few summers and we have been enjoying the parties ever since they started.
What’s really great about SPLASH Sundays is that the hotel is located right in the heart of SoHo, has great cocktails thanks to their sponsors, Appleton Rum and Coca Cola, and the music is awesome since it is provided by DJ Fresh Certified DJs. Did we mention the amazing pool floats they have too? They are the best around town for sure.
SPLASH Sundays run all summer long from July 3rd through September 4th from noon to 5pm. Each week SPLASH sponsors present a variety of rotating entertainment and activities ranging from poolside fashion shows and DJs to live music and craft cocktail specials.
Food and drinks, including craft cocktails are available during the fun too. Our favorite had to be the Epsolon Tequila…you know how we love our tequila. We really enjoy listening to the DJ Fresh tunes while sipping on a cocktail and soaking up the sun in the beautiful pool!
Not a local? No worries! If you are from out of town and looking to enjoy the fun, special overnight Florida resident rates at the Epicurean Hotel that include admission to SPLASH Sundays are available starting at $139/night. Not bad for a gorgeous hotel with a spa, bakery, restaurant, pool, and rooftop bar.
Since we have been going for the past few summers and have been invited to be SPLASHbassadors each year, we get to enjoy their private cabana area with our friends! You can take your SPLASH experience to the next level with VIP reserved areas available for up to 10 guests. SPLASH VIP includes a select location bordering the swimming pool, along with comfortable seating, sun umbrellas, a personal outdoor cooling system by Portacool and dedicated bottle service. Cost is $250 per cabana. Complimentary valet parking is also provided until 5 p.m., but we prefer jumping in an Uber so we can really enjoy the day!

If Sunday Fundays are not for you, don’t worry because Epicurean has tons of other great events to offer guests! Dive-In movies for adults are being offered select Saturdays and “Yoga with a Twist” are hosted on the last Sunday of each month. A rotating calendar of culinary events and cooking classes are also being served up all summer long in the Epicurean Theatre – a state-of-the-art culinary classroom showcasing a Viking kitchen. You can take part in a variety of culinary classes such as “The VooDoo Krewe” as well as the Epic Chef Showdown viewing parties, a cooking competition between local chefs to benefit Feeding Tampa Bay.
We recently participated in their Cocktails and Cupcakes class hosted by Cloud 9 Confections! It was so much fun! There’s so much going on at Epicurean that it’s sure to be a good time if you stop in. So if you are looking for something fresh and new, we will see you at Epicurean Hotel!
