SMDay Tampa 2016 is almost here! As many of you know, Mashable launched Social Media Day in 2010 as a way to recognize and celebrate social media’s impact on global communication. While every day is essentially Social Media Day, June 30th, 2016 marks the seventh-annual official global celebration. Last year, meetups happened all over the world including those in Egypt, Spain, San Diego, and Tampa Bay.
Ryan and I have been organizing Social Media Day in Tampa since its inception and this year we are expecting 300-400 local social media professionals, influencers and bloggers. Last year was so much fun thanks to our great sponsors, so we brought many of them back on board to help make this year bigger and better!
We kickoff the event by encouraging lots of social involvement during our blogger caravan sponsored by Reeves VW, raffle off great local baskets to raise funds for this year’s local charity, Where Love Grows, host giveaways throughout the night and so much more! We are honored to have so many amazing sponsors this year helping to make this year’s event the best one yet!
We hope to see you at Ferg’s Live Tampa on June 30th from 6-9pm. The event is free to register, but we are asking for a $5 donation at the door which goes directly to this year’s beneficiary, Where Love Grows. 100% of the proceeds raised through raffle prizes and donations go to support the end to childhood hunger here in Tampa Bay.
