This past Sunday Mike and I were able to attend The 11th annual Taste of South Tampa! It was held at The Tampa Garden Club off of Bayshore Boulevard and it was a fun event that showcased a wide range of local businesses, entertained with musical acts, with an overall purpose to help Metropolitan Ministries food drive!
We got to the Tampa Garden Club around 1pm and had a chance to try some awesome food and beverages from local businesses. Some vendors we had heard of, but there were also some really neat start ups that we had not heard of! Lettuce Tea is a Tampa grown company that offers a refreshing tea in four flavors; we were able to try the mango and strawberry!
I have an old laptop and have been looking for a place to take it and Urban E Recycling Inc offers an outlet to dispose of any computers, laptops or electronics. The company destroys all hard drives and recycles everything that is taken in free of charge!
Some local restaurants that had tents set up were The Blind Goat Food and Drink Co., Kahwa Coffee, The Press Box, and more! We sampled some meatballs with sour cream and sweet potato from Nutri Truck, and a mac and cheese pulled pork sandwich that was amazing from Eats American Grill! Pepin Beer distributor offered a variety of beers, and other tents offered adult beverages and non alcoholic options.
The event was a great way to see and try some new or upcoming local businesses. The weather was warm and toasty, but it was a great day and we will definitely be attending next year!
