Downtown Tampa will be taken over again this weekend, March 12th-13th, for Gasparilla Music Fest 2016 in Curtis Hixon Park and we couldn’t be MORE excited! If you have been following us for a while, you know that we LOVE all of the local artists and concerts that happen around Tampa Bay. We only stopped in last year to see a show or two, but two years ago, we had the chance to attend GMF and LOVED it. You can read about that experience HERE.
If that doesn’t entice you, check out the sick lineup for this year! We are super pumped for MS MR (who we saw last year at Big Guava).
Since we missed out on some of the awesomeness from last year, check out this vid for a taste of what’s promising to be an even bigger and better experience this year!
And what’s great about this year is all of the new initiatives and upgrades the GMF team has worked tirelessly to make possible. These initiatives include, Recycled Tunes, a recycling project for local schools in need of musical instruments through Don Banks Music, a partnership with Tampa’s Whitwam Organics to support the composting of any leftover food from vendors, and a local collab with Tampa Bike Valet to support an easy and responsible way to get to and from the event, just to name a few.
Here are some shots from our previous experience at GMF in 2014!
Oh and the food was the bomb dot com (Ryan CLEARLY was a fan)!
As always, we will be out and about this weekend, so don’t be a stranger. We look forward to an awesome weekend of music, food, and much more!
Visit for festival updates, including the complete lineup, food and beverage offerings, and ticket sales.
AND…….If all else fails and you are not able to be there this weekend, be sure to follow along on social media with #GMF2016 and listen to the amazing artists performing on this SWEET GMFSpotify playlist:
Rock on!
