Last weekend, we had plans to attend Cocktails & Couture at The Ritz Ybor. So on Saturday night, we made dinner and drink plans prior at Carne Chophouse Ybor. We had only ever been there one time for a drink (Read about that here), but find ourselves walking passed it a few times per month and thought, why not?
We were greeted at the door to a room packed full of people. This was already a good sign….if the place is packed, it must be good! So we got seated and immediately ordered a round of drinks. As we browsed the menu, Ryan and I decided on splitting a 10 oz. Filet Mignon with a side of vegetables and a Caesar Salad to start. Our friends opted for the Filet Mignon and a French Onion Soup & Salad.
As we sipped on round after round of cocktails, we caught up with our friends on the latest happenings going on in the world of NHIE. After a little while, the salads and soup came out followed by our meals. We were very impressed with the flavor of the steak and they were cooked to each of our likings. Unfortunately, we never snagged any pictures of the food because we were so hungry that we dug right in each time they placed it in front of us.
Overall, we would definitely recommend stopping in to Carne Ybor next time you are in search of a nice steak and cocktail. They also have some good specials we heard about while there. Stop in for $9.99 Prime Rib or Fish and Chips from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm daily. Oh and did we mention the $2 Finlandia Martinis All Day Every Day until 7:00pm? WOW! Too bad they don’t have that special for Tequila. We would be in it to win it!
