So this past weekend, the NHIE Team had a chance to check out some AWESOME aspects of the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa just a short 20 minute drive from downtown Tampa. Once everyone got out of work and packed up the car, we made our way to the Sheraton Tampa East Hotel ( a sister hotel of the Hard Rock) where would be shacking up for the night. The executive level suites come equipped with free wifi and a wonderful walk-out balcony that overlooks the heated pool. In addition, the floor also invites guests to stop in to the guest suite where hors d’oeuvres are served from 5:30-7:30pm and a warm, continental breakfast is served daily from 6:30-9:30am. Let’s start there…

When we arrived, we were surprised by how nice of a hotel was tucked away in an area we never realized existed. The lobby was home to a spacious restaurant with a small bar that looked pretty fancy. Once we got ourselves checked in, we grabbed a few snacks in the executive lounge before getting ready for the night. We called to the front desk to reserve the FREE shuttle to the casino, made a round of drinks (to go) and made our way to the lobby to get our night started.

Within ten minutes or so, we were pulling up to the casino and hopping out to eat dinner at Rise Kitchen and Bakery. Check back this week for a post about our experience there. After dinner, we made our way to the Hard Rock Hot Summer Nights Pool Party hosted by Hot 101.5 and Jayde Donovan. We will also be posting about the party and all of the shenanigans we got ourselves into so remember to check back.

After a late night of partying at the casino, the LAST thing we all wanted to do was wake up before 9:30am to eat breakfast. We thought the luxury of staying at a nice hotel would be the convenience of accommodations. Of all the aspects of the hotel we enjoyed, the idea of only serving breakfast until 9:30am was quite a bust! 😦   Although it wasn’t the most convenient thing, we found ourselves up out of bed by 9:25am and toasting ourselves some bagels. The breakfast was good; they offered bagels, toast, fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee, juice, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs and some well-done bacon. We made ourselves a plate and enjoyed the treats before heading out after a great night.

If you are staying in Tampa for a business trip and need a quiet and secluded hotel to stay at, check out the Sheraton Tampa East Hotel for a great night of rest and relaxation.
