To say that I have a sweet tooth would be a bit of an understatment. I partially blame this on my mom, who would sometimes suggest ice cream instead of dinner (not saying she’s a bad  mother and didn’t cook for us) , or take me with her on a Cumberland Farms run to pick up Peanut M&Ms (our favorite) But I was younger then, and my metabolism was through the rough. So I loaded on the toppings and drizzled on the butterscotch without looking back. Well… times they are a changin’.

Now when my sweet tooth sets in I have to think long and hard about how to cope. “Should I down the pint of Ben & Jerry’s now and then run tomorrow?” or “For every Peanut M&M I eat I’ll do 5 crunches or 2 push ups.” Lucky for me, I don’t have to debate anymore. I can just walk over to You Say When Yogurt on Howard Ave.

You Say When Yogurt offers patrons a healthy alternative to the fattening desserts offered by other places. With a variety of up to 8 flavors on any given day, they are sure to have something you can get on board with. Besides their delicious flavors of yogurt, they have numerous toppings for you to choose from. You have your choice of toppings such as brownie pieces, coconut, pineapples, chocolate chips, gummy bears, and even Peanut M&Ms 🙂 Then… you can drizzle it with hot fudge, peanut butter, marshmallow and much more.  Last night Rob and I had the chance to try their flavor of the season- what else? Pumpkin. I even went the extra mile and threw on some candy corn to top it off.

Under new ownership, the shop is not only providing the community with a healthy and delicious snack, they are also giving back to the community in other ways.  They allow groups to come in and hold fundraisers for various organizations. In fact, our own Ryan will be hosting an event there on November 4th to raise money for Startup Weekend. So if you are in the area, and looking to enjoy a yummy treat while supporting a good cause- stop on by!
